The Mid-Year Flower Report: California's 10 Best-Selling Strains of 2026

Half the year is in the books, and California's flower shelves have a clear pecking order. We pulled statewide 3.5g flower sales for the first six months of 2026 and ranked every SKU by estimated dollars moved through the state's dispensaries. Ten products — all from just three companies — account for a combined $5.78 million in tracked retail sales and a projected $10.4 million across the full California market once untracked stores are factored in.

The top spot belongs to CAM's Bubbas Girl Private, which moved an estimated $907K through the retailers we track — outselling the #2 SKU by roughly $39K despite carrying one of the cheapest average price tags in the top 10 at $46.84 per eighth. BLEM's Unruly Og Packaged is close behind at $867,851, and it's the more expensive bag of the two: BLEM runs the priciest shelf in this list at $57.17 and $57.23 per eighth for its two entries, more than $10 above the group's $50.26 average.

Three brands split the entire top 10 between them, and it's closer to an even split than you'd expect: CAM and Cannabiotix each place four SKUs, BLEM places two. CAM's run is built on private-label indoor — Bubbas Girl Private, Wedding Cake Private, Strawberry Fields, and Private Jack Herer all carry the brand's "Private" or solo-strain naming, a small-batch signal that seems to be resonating at checkout. Cannabiotix leans on its "Premiere" and "Big Buds" tiers — Cereal Milk Premiere, Super Mango Haze Big Buds, Gluetopia Premiere, and Dropane Big Buds — and edges out CAM on raw combined revenue among its four ($2.14M) even though none of its individual SKUs crack the top three.

The most interesting name on the list is #6. "Trangie Ting" is BLEM's stylized packaging name for its Tangie — the Skunk #1 x California Orange cross DNA Genetics put out over a decade ago that made its name on pure limonene-heavy orange terpenes and a Cannabis Cup win, and that's gotten genuinely harder to find true-to-type on shelves as growers keep chasing newer gas and cake crosses. A clean Tangie pull is a bit of a throwback for people who know, and the market backed it: $453,590 in H1 sales. But as of today, live stock data shows it at exactly one dispensary statewide. That's either a limited-batch drop that already sold through everywhere else, or BLEM's most in-demand cut running into a supply crunch — the kind of thing only next quarter's numbers will settle. Everything else in the top 10 is comfortably in stock: our live check found at least 473 California dispensaries currently carrying one of these ten SKUs, led by Dropane Big Buds and Super Mango Haze Big Buds, each confirmed at 170+ shops.
