The 710 Map: Every Dispensary Stocking the Brand That Named Itself After the Holiday

710 Labs built a company around a flipped oil-cap number years before "Oil Day" went mainstream. On the holiday itself, here's where all 769 shops we can confirm are carrying it right now.

Flip a car's oil cap upside down and "OIL" reads back as 710 — a bit of grease-monkey slang that cannabis forums picked up around 2011 and never let go of. TokeCity and Urban Dictionary threads started tagging concentrate posts with it that year; by 2013, LA Weekly was calling 7/10 "the new 420," and the first 710 Cup was already running in Denver. It's since settled in as the industry's second-biggest calendar holiday, the one dabbers and extract makers claim as their own the way flower culture claims April 20th.

710 Labs got there first in a different sense: the company took the number as its actual name back in 2009, years before "Oil Day" had a Wikipedia-worthy history. Founder Brad Melshenker opened a Boulder, Colorado hash bar called The Greenest Green in 2009 after a dab in an Encino dispensary rerouted his career, then stood up what's described as the first licensed cannabis extraction facility of its kind in 2012. The bet on solventless — water hash and live rosin pressed from fresh-frozen flower, no butane or CO2 involved — won the company a High Times People's Choice award for Best Hash in 2014, and survived a rocky 2016 split when co-founder Wade Sanders exited to start his own label, Olio. Roughly 80% of what 710 Labs presses today comes from cannabis genetics it bred and selected in-house.

As of today, 710 Labs concentrates are confirmed in stock at 769 dispensaries across the five states we track it in: California (396 shops), Michigan (224), Colorado (117 — its home state), New Jersey (30), and a beachhead of 2 in Florida. California is also where the receipts back up the reputation — over the past 30 days of estimated sales, 710 Labs ranks as the #2 concentrate brand in the state by dollars, a 9.47% share worth roughly $1.2M, spread across 879 distinct SKUs at 249 retailers. Only Raw Garden (12.30% share) sells more; STIIIZY (6.24%) sells less.

The jars actually moving today skew toward the brand's in-house genetics: Papaya, Garlic Cocktail, Strawberry Guava, Banana Mango, Bootylicious, and Moon Glow are the widest-stocked strains in California right now, all sold in the brand's signature 1-gram "Persy" (personal stash) jars alongside Grease Bucket and Blueberry Haze. This is Reports' first holiday-timed special edition — stock changes daily, so treat the map as a starting point, not a live feed. We'll be back to the usual monthly and quarterly installments after this one, each tracking a different strain, brand, or product breaking out nationally against the same retailer-level data.
