Georgia's medical program stopped being oils-and-tinctures-only on July 1, and Trulieve marked the moment with a ceremonial first sale at its Marietta location. The buyer was Desi Cleveland, an Army veteran from Columbus and an existing patient, who picked up a Roll One Clutch All-in-One vape and Modern Flower whole flower — the first time either product category has been legally available to Georgia patients — alongside his usual Trulieve RSO Troches and Momenta Topical Cream.

The sale follows directly from SB 220, which took effect the same day and replaced Georgia's old THC potency cap with a possession limit while legalizing vaping for patients 21 and up. Trulieve says it's now supplying more than a dozen pharmacies statewide and plans to expand that distribution over the summer.

It's a small, symbolic transaction, but it's the tell for what actually changes when a law like this takes effect: not the statute language, but the specific SKUs that show up on a specific shelf for a specific patient who couldn't buy them the week before.
