Jeeter finally lands in Ohio — made in Cincinnati, of all places

Ohio just got the country's biggest pre-roll brand. Jeeter — which claims more than 25% of pre-roll sales in the markets where it operates, on upwards of $220 million in annual revenue — launched in the state through an exclusive partnership with King City Gardens, a veteran-owned Cincinnati cultivator and processor that holds Ohio manufacturing and distribution rights.

The rollout opened with an exclusive first weekend, starting July 17, at King City's own "the Garden" dispensary locations in the Cincinnati area, complete with launch events, product education, and branded merch. Co-founder Caveh Azadeh says statewide distribution follows from there.

The structure is the story for operators. Rather than importing product or building its own Ohio facility, Jeeter licensed a local partner to make its SKUs in-state — the model national brands keep converging on as they chase new markets without new capex. For King City Gardens, exclusivity on a proven high-velocity brand is the kind of moat a mid-size operator rarely gets to dig.

For Ohio retailers not named the Garden, the question is how fast "the rollout will continue from there" actually happens — and what terms come with a distributor that also owns competing stores.
