Cannabis Bioscience International Holdings — ticker CBIH, thinly traded on the OTC market — got the State of Texas's approval this week to manufacture and distribute consumable hemp products. First out the gate is VitaCookies, a "functional wellness" cookie line built around specific use cases: menopause support, stress management, relaxation, emotional balance.

Commercial distribution is supposed to start within 30 days of the July 15 approval, which puts product on Texas shelves around mid-August if the company hits its own timeline. That's a fast turn for a first product launch, which tells you this has been sitting ready for a while.

Worth reading the fine print here: CBIH is a micro-cap that needs headlines, and the framing in its own release — its CEO calling the license "something far greater than regulatory approval" — reads like a company that needs this launch to move a stock price, not just move cookies. That doesn't make the product news untrue. It just means it's worth knowing who's telling you the story and why.

The bigger signal is where the formulation is aimed. Menopause- and stress-specific edibles are a real trend across the hemp-derived category right now, not just one company's marketing angle, and it says something about where brands think the growth actually is: wellness-positioned products aimed at buyers who wouldn't call themselves cannabis consumers at all.
